i read a quote earlier that someone had posted while they were touring across spain. it became stuck in my head. it seems to fit appropriately to my adventure:

i’m not really leaving anything behind that i wouldn’t love to see again, but i always look ahead at what can be improved and done better. there are plenty of things that i will miss on my trip. i am also glad that i have the opportunity to do this and go all the way. who knows, maybe there is potential for more rides like this.
